Darebin City Brass is based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

This organisation consists of three bands:

* Preston Band - This band has one of the most outstanding records of Brass Bands in Victoria and indeed Australia!

* Northern Brass - an intermediate band formed in early 2006.

Currently Australian D Grade Champions and Victorian D Grade Champions!

* Youth program - junior groups are run three times a week

The bands are all proudly supported by the Darebin City Council.

 NEWSFLASH -  VBL Merv Simpson Band of the Year

Congratulations to Geelong West Brass Band and Northern Brass for winning the 2007 Merv Simpson Band of the Year Award!

The announcement and presentation was made at the VBL Showcase concert on Sunday 25th November.

Congratulations to both bands!

The shield will be shared by the two bands. It will spend the first six months with Geelong West and then will travel to Northern Brass!
