Darebin City Brass is based in Preston, Melbourne,  VIC, Australia.

The organisation consists of three brass groups:

Preston Brass Band

Preston Band was established in 1934. The band quickly developed to A Grade

status where it has remained since. Preston Band competes in local, national and overseas competitions plus

regularly performs at various events in the local community

Preston Band is conducted by Danny Dielkens

Northern Brass

Northern Brass is an intermediate band that was formed in 2006. This band has had a fantastic journey -

the band won the Australian D Grade section in 2007, only a year after the band started!!

In March 2008, Northern was regraded to C Grade, and won this grade at the Victorian State Championships in August 2008 !

Northern Brass are the current C Grade Victorian State Champions!

Northern Brass is conducted by Andrew Power

Darebin Youth Group

Darebin City Brass also caters for beginners and those just starting out!

Groups are run four times a week.

Darebin City Brass is proudly supported by the

NEW PRESTON BAND MD APPOINTED!

Darebin City Brass has appointed Danny Dielkens as MD of Preston Band.

Danny is originally from Belgium and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Darebin City Brass.

Darebin City Brass held their 74th Annual General Meeting on 18th September.

Northern Brass - Latrobe Eisteddfod C Grade Champions!

Northern Brass traveled to Traralgon on Sunday 14th September and notched up yet another win in C Grade!

NEWFLASH

Northern Brass - Victorian State C Grade Champions!

Northern Brass comprehensively won the Victorian State C Grade Championships on Sunday 24th August!

This was the band's first appearance in this grade at a state level.
